Elmaddin Dadashov

Elmaddin Dadashov  son of Hamza was born on August 29, 1984, in Baku. In 1991, he entered Secondary School No. 192 in the Sabunchu district of Baku. He completed his studies at this school in 2001.

He began his professional career on May 10, 2002, in the organizational position at the A. Pashayev Cultural Center. As a member of the Poetry and Drama Society, he was awarded a diploma for winning the competition dedicated to the National Revival Day (I am Azerbaijani). This recognition was given by the Baku City Culture Department in 2001.

In 2004, he enrolled in the specialty of "Drama Director" at the Faculty of Directing Art of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. During his studies, he received education under the guidance of Professor Vagif Ibrahimoglu, the founder and chief director of the YUG Theater. He successfully graduated  the university in 2008.

During his student years, he directed plays such as "You can't be my lover" based on M.F. Akhundzade's comedy "Monsieur Jordan and Darvish Mastali shah" and staged play Epton Sinclair's "The thief." His graduation performance was the play "String", based on Mirza Fatali Akhundov's comedy "Haji Gara," with music by Ramiz Mustafayev and Vasif Adigozalov.

Starting from 2005, Elmaddin Dadashov worked at the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater as a stage technician. From 2006, he worked as an  assistant director. He played interesting roles in projects like " Date at the cafe " (2006), "New Year in the Old Yard" (2008), "Love Adventure at Work" (2020), "Ay Yay Yay" (2019), "Duz Kozer" (2021), "Holiday Evenings" (2017), "I saw Sabirabad " (2022), and more.

From 2008 to 2013, Elmaddin Dadasov worked as a teacher-repetitor and director at the Children's Creativity Studio, created under the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater. During this time, he directed plays like "Shengulum, Shungulum, Mengulum" (O. Zulfugarov and R. Heydar 2012), "Thumbelina" (H.X. Anderson 2013), "Buratino" (A. Rybnikov and A. Tolstoy, translated by N. Kazimov, 2011), and at the same time as the second director of "999th Night" , "Bremen Musicians and Pen", "The Forest Can't Be Without a Jackal", " When fates come together ", "The Alchemist" and " Take your share, call uncle " plays.

In 2018, he was the founding director of the play " New Year Adventure of Gogal," a Russian folk tale. In 2019, he directed "Buratino," and in 2023, he served as the founding director of the play "The World Belongs to Lovers" by E. Pahlivan.

He also worked as a correspondent and later as a founding director on the "Morning" program on Space TV from 2013 to 2014. Elmaddin Dadashov has contributed to promoting Azerbaijani culture in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States.
