Fatma Mahmudova
Fatma Mahmudova was born in Aghdam in 1954. She graduated from the Azerbaijan State Institute of Culture and Art. From 1968 she has been an actress at the Aghdam State Drama Theater. F. Mahmudova has managed to be one of the leading actresses of the theater and create many unique images during this time. She has acted as Sonakhanum at "Daghılan Tifaq", Maryam at "Farhad and Shirin", Sara at "Faded Flowers”, Hajar at "Qachaq Nabi”, Tahmina in "Tahmina and Zaur” and Mother at "Qismat”. Such performances have turned her into favorite of the audience. The actress starred in "Pirverdi's rooster” as Halima in 1987. She was awarded the Honored Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1989.She had to move to Baku because of the occupation of Aghdam and continued her life as a refugee. In 1994 she was hired by Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theatre. She took part in most of the plays in the repertory and showed interesting images here. She played in the various roles such as: Baghdagul at "Fun for Ten Thousand Dollars”, Khurma at "Everyone’s own star”, Gulbike at "Banker Finance”, Adila Dudu at "Temporary pleasure marriage”, Balakhnum at "Man of the Man”, Asmar at "Aunt Masma is my uncle”, Maryam at "Devil's Anniversary".
She was prized the "People’ Artist” of Azerbaijan Republic in 2000. The actress is also rewarded with Presidential Pension.
