Asgar Asgarov
Asker (son of Akbar) Asgarov was born on June 19, 1961 in Nakhchivan. In 1979-1983, he studied at the "Drama and Film Acting" faculty of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. After graduating from the university, he joined the Nakhchivan State Musical Drama Theater in 1983 and worked as a director and later as a chief director. During his work there, U. Hajibeyli's "Arshin mal alan", "Mashadi Ibad", "From Here to Here", N. Hikmat's "Strange Man", J. Jabbarli's "Aydin", H. Fatullayev's "Eagle Flying from Alinja", I. Safarli's " Good and Evil", E. Olibi's "Zoopark Story", R. Samander's "Martyrs", G. Khugayev's "My Wife's Husband", H. Javid's jubilee performances.
In 1996, he was invited to the Academic National Drama Theater and continued his work as a director there. During A. Asgarov's tenure, staged the plays V. Rozov "Looking for Happiness", N. Khazri "Burla Khatun", K. Abdulla "Sometimes they call me an angel...", J.B. Moliere "Scapin’s impostures ". At the same time, under the leadership and organization of the Ministry of Culture, jubilee events of well-known personalities such as A. Hagverdiyev, S. Ruhulla, A. Alakbarov, M. S. Ordubadi, A. Bakikhanov, N. Khazri, A. Mammadkhanli, A. Aliyev and many cities, as well as the republic the state events held at the level were organized by Asgar Asgarov.
Since 2008, Asgar Asgarov has been working as a founding director at the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater. During this period, he has directed performances such as "The Scapin's impostures" (J.B. Molyer), "The French Garnier" (M. Kamoletti), "Molla Nasreddin's Five Wives" (I. Sadigov), "One Day Left for the Wedding" (A. Samadli), "Once upon a time in Baghdad" (E. Sabitoglu, V. Kolmanovski), and "The Five Manat Bride" (S. Rustamov, M.S. Ordubadi).
In 2008, he was awarded the Honored Art Worker of Azerbaijan, and in 2009, he was awarded the Presidential Prize.
