Arzu Rzayev

Rzayev Arzu son of Asif was born on March 5, 1963 in Baku, into an intelligent family. In 1969-1979, he studied at school No. 190. In 1980, he graduated from the Institute of National Economy, Faculty of Accounting and its Analysis. He started his career right after he finished high school. In 1981-1983, he served in the military in the former Soviet army.
In 1989-2023, he worked as deputy director at the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. During those years, Arzu Rzayev participated in prestigious international theater festivals organized in Turkey, Germany, France and a number of countries around the world as part of the theater's delegation, including state-important events held in our country. Distinguished for his active activity during the 44-Day Patriotic War, Arzu Rzayev participated in the "Khari Bulbul" festivals held in Shusha and other events held in Karabakh after our Victory. He was the director of the Absheron District Cultural Center in 2023-2025. Since April 2025, he has been working as the deputy director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater. In 2007, according to the relevant Order of the President of the country Ilham Aliyev, he was awarded the title of Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and in 2012, he was awarded the title of Honored Cultural Worker established by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He is married and has two children.
