The Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater is participating in the World Culture Festival held in Karachi, Pakistan.

The festival, organized by the “Art Council of Pakistan Karachi”, was attended by artists, creative collectives, as well as theater troupes from about 140 countries of the world.
The Academic Musical Theater staged a performance based on the play “My Mother’s Book” by Jalil Mammadguluzadeh at this prestigious international cultural event.
The stage play, directed by the President’s Prize winner Irada Gozalova, was successfully demonstrated at the festival and was met with applause.
After the performance, the President of the “Art Council of Pakistan Karachi” Muhammad Ahmad Shah met with the director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater Agil Bahramli, deputy director, doctor of philosophy in art history Vafa Muhajirova, the theater’s production director Irada Gozalova and other members of the team, shared his sincere impressions, and presented them with commemorative gifts on behalf of the festival’s organizing committee.
The theater’s staff expressed gratitude to the festival’s organizing committee for the special attention shown.
It should be noted that the production designer of the stage production is Vusal Rahim, the director of the fight scenes and dances is People's Artist Parviz Mammadrzayev, the director is Zaur Aliyev, the lighting designer is Nijat Hamidov, and the sound director is Sevda Davudova.
The performance, presented in English, featured the theater's talented actors - SamadzadeKhasiyev, Huseyn Alili, Zaur Aliyev, Nazrin Ismayilzade, Adelin Ozturk, Narmin Aliyeva, Ali Karimov, Irana Karimova, Subhan Rustamov, and Murad Aliyev.
The founding director Irada Gozalova expressed her impressions of the festival, where Azerbaijani theater art was successfully presented: “It is a great opportunity for us to participate in the World Festival and see the works of art of participants from all over the world, to communicate. For this, I express my gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and the management of our theater. We, as a creative team, fulfilled our mission. The performance “My Mother’s Book” presented by the Academic Musical Theater caused a great resonance. After the performance, we heard wonderful reviews from foreign colleagues here, and it is very nice to feel the warmer attitude and sympathy of the festival participants towards us thanks to this performance. For me personally and I think for our theater, this is a wonderful result.”
It should be noted that the delegation of the Musical Theater also participates in a number of meetings within the framework of the festival in order to establish cooperation with theaters from different countries and expand existing relations.
The World Culture Festival will end on December 7 in Karachi, Pakistan.
