Rehearsals for a new play with the participation of Afag Bashirgizi have begun

Rehearsals for the musical comedy "Zal daughter Zalkha" (composed by Honored Art Worker Javanshir Guliyev) based on the play "Mother of Seven Prisoners" by writer-playwright Ali Amirli have begun at the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater.

The theater's director, Agil Bahramli, congratulated both the jubilee and the creative team on this stage production, prepared on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the People's Artist with the Order of "Sharaf", Afag Bashirgizi, and wished them success.

The People's Artist thanked the management and staff of the art center for the special attention shown. He expressed confidence that the performance, which will be presented in its new production and interpretation by President's Prize winner Samir Gulamov, will be met with interest.

The actress recalled that she played the role of Zal daughter Zalkha in this performance, which was staged by the late artist, Honored Art Worker Oruj Izzetoglu in 2007.

Samir Gulamov expressed his gratitude to the theater management and Mrs. Afag, emphasizing that he would justify the trust shown in him.

It should be noted that in addition to the People's Artist, the performance, which tells about the tragicomic events that took place in the temporary detention center of the police station, will feature Honored Artists Azizagha Azizov, Akbar Alizadeh, Presidential Prize winners Huseyn Alili, Ulviyya Aliyeva, actors Guljahan Salamova, Gulnara Abdullayeva, Alimammad Novruzov, Telnaz Huseynova, Gultaj Alili, Ofeliya Mammadova, Elnara Nagdaliyeva, Gulnara Azizova, Narmin Aliyeva, Turkel Tariqpeyma, Nigar Garayeva, Jabrayil Jabrayilov.

The production conductor of the performance is Fakhraddin Atayev, the production designer is Vusal Rahim, the production choreographer is Nigar Shahmuradova, the choirmaster is Malahat Gasimova, the conductor is Samad Suleymanli, the concertmaster is Fidan Mammadova, and the assistant director is Razima Ismayilova.
