Bashir Safaroglu's 100th anniversary celebrated in Guba

On March 6, 2025, an event was held at the Guba District Cultural Center named after Bashir Safaroglu, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Guba District Executive Power, the Guba-Khachmaz Regional Cultural Department and the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater, on the occasion of March 10 - Azerbaijan National Theater Day and March 11 - the 100th anniversary of People's Artist Bashir Safaroglu.

The artistic part of the event featured the performance " The day before the wedding " (Ali Samadli) with the participation of People's Artist Afag Bashirgizi.

Among those watching the performance were the staff of the District Executive Power, heads of law enforcement agencies of the district, heads of regional and other departments, enterprises and organizations, families of martyrs and veterans, representatives of the Regional State Committee for the Protection of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the issues of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan and heads of municipalities, education and cultural workers.

The stage production was attended by the theater's beloved actors Honored Artists Alakbar Aliyev, Azizaga Azizov, President's Prize winner Huseyn Alili, actors Alimammad Novruzov, Gultaj Alili, Rasmiyya Nurmammadova, Gulnara Azizova, Elkhan Ismayilov, Ruslan Mursalov, as well as the theater's choir and ballet artists.

The production director of the performance, which has an unexpected and interesting plot line, is Honored Art Worker Asgar Asgarov, the production designer is Honored Artist Nabat Samadova, the music director is People's Artist Anvar Sadigov, the music arranger is Emin Hasanov, the ballet masters are Honored Artists Yelena Aghayeva and Zakir Aghayev, and the assistant director is Tamilla Aslanova.

It should be noted that this year will also be Ms. Afag's 70th anniversary.
