Before the performance, the dear memory of the victims of the tragedy was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Director Samir Gulamov provided detailed information about the stage play, the author and producer of which he was the director, and stated that today's performance of the play was no coincidence:

“35 years ago, the brave sons of our people were heroically martyred in the tragedy committed by the bloody imperial army. Although I was a child in those years when the foundation of our independence was laid, the events are forever etched in my memory. The heroic sons of the Azerbaijani Army and the unity of our people during the 44-Day Patriotic War inspired me even more to make a series of patriotic documentaries.

As the Academic Musical Theater, we worked tirelessly from the stage to the trenches during the 44-Day Patriotic War and tried to make our contribution to the information war with our various projects.

For example, the documentary "Fighting Theater" talks about our theater's lighting engineer, 19-year-old martyr Aliaga Mammadov, and other employees.

Gulnara Abdullayeva's son, Elnur Abdullayev, who plays the martyr's mother in today's performance, was also a participant in the Second Karabakh War, and there were even rumors that he was martyred during the siege. His return as a victorious soldier made us all happy.

The director of our theater, Honored Artist, Doctor of Philosophy Aliqismat Lalayev, said in one of his interviews on the same eve that he strongly believes that we will win this just war, and in honor of our proud history, we will prepare a stage play in a completely different genre at the theater.

Let me remind you that the first performance of "Close as a breath", dedicated to the mothers of martyrs, was presented on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of our victory, and on that day our first audience was the mothers of martyrs, veterans and their family members".
