Polad Bulbuloglu met with the creative team of the Academic Musical Theater
The Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis, People's Artist Polad Bulbuloglu was a guest of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater and watched the performance "Leyli and Majnun", which has a unique place in the theater's repertoire.
After the performance, Polad Bulbuloglu, who met with the creative staff backstage, expressed his pleasant impressions to the director of the art center, Honored Artist, Doctor of Philosophy Aligismat Lalayev, and all the participants, and congratulated everyone:
"I follow the projects of the Academic Musical Theater with interest and am very happy about each of your successes. The conditions created after the major renovation of the theater building by the order of the head of the country also create great opportunities for the creation of performances of various genres. Like your other stage works, I watched this one with interest.
As a classic work, the different presentation of "Leyli and Majnun" in a new interpretation by director Samir Gulamov is a novelty in the history of theater.
The collective was able to cope with this difficult and responsible task skillfully. The performances of the symphony orchestra, professional actors, choir and ballet artists are very good.
Although more than a century has passed since its creation, I have seen this work, which has not lost its relevance and high value, in the repertoire of the Opera Theater and in the performances of our famous artists. Adding it to the repertoire of the Musical Theater is truly a great responsibility, and I witnessed the success of the performance.
The chairman of the committee congratulated the team and wished each of them success in their activities. At the end, commemorative photos were taken with them.
It should be noted that the performance, the libretto author and production director of which is Samir Gulamov, was prepared based on the motives of the mugham opera of the great composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli and the poem of the same name by Mahammad Fuzuli.
The production conductor of the performance is Honored Artist Fakhraddin Atayev, production designer Vusal Rahim, choirmaster Honored Artist Vagif Mastanov, mugham performance consultant People's Artist Sakina Ismayilova, solo tar performers Honored Artist Elkhan Mansurov, young performers Sakhavat Mammadov, Jahid Alizadeh, concertmaster Fidan Aliyeva, assistant directors Amrah Dadashov and Sevinj Mammadova.
The stage production was attended by Honored Artist Nadir Khasiyev, President's Prize winner Samadzade Khasiyev, winners of republican and international mugham competitions Ilaha Rustamova and Orkhan Huseynli, actors Emin Zeynalli, Gulnara Abdullayeva, Azer Panahov, Irana Karimova, Bacikhanim Sadiqova, Boyukkhanim Mammadova, Mirzahra Muradova, Aydan Aliyeva, as well as choir and ballet artists.
