Academic Musical Theater successfully returns from international festival
The Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater successfully participated in the 9th International Theater Festival of Central Asian Countries held in Shymkent, Kazakhstan.
The monoplay “Telegram from a Killer” (Parviz Seyidli), staged by young director Zaur Aliyev with the participation of Honored Artist Shovgi Huseynov, aroused great interest among the festival participants and was awarded prizes in various nominations.
The members of the theater delegation – Deputy Director of the Musical Theater, Doctor of Philosophy in Art History Vafa Muhajirova, Honored Artist Shovgi Huseynov, the founder director of the monoplay Zaur Aliyev, music arranger Mahammad Mammadov, and lighting designer Nijat Hamidov, especially emphasized that they were greeted with respect, honor and high hospitality in Kazakhstan, and thanked everyone who had suffered.
Noting that they were warmly welcomed by both festival participants and local media representatives, the actor expressed his pride in representing our country in such a prestigious international project: "Although it was my first time in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, my wonderful impressions are inexhaustible, because I did not feel like a stranger there, the native attitude of the people pleased each of us. Interesting meetings turned into endless pleasant memories."
Speaking about business meetings with theater figures and art representatives of Turkic-speaking countries within the framework of the event's program, Ms. Vafa also emphasized that her impressions of the trip were high: "I think that such mutual cultural relations bring countries closer together. In fact, their native attitude towards us is the embodiment of their love for Azerbaijan, and we felt it at every step. I hope that we will continue our close relations successfully in the future."
