The Minister of Culture visited the Academic Musical Theater

The meetings of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Adil Karimli, with the collectives of theater and concert institutions and relevant educational institutions continue. The activities of the institutions and the tasks ahead are being discussed.

On November 5, the Minister of Culture met with the collective at the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater. Noting that the Musical Theater has a rich history and unique artistic traditions, the Minister spoke about the state support provided to the theater sector in our country. He noted that President Ilham Aliyev is constantly paying attention to the development of the cultural sector. In recent years, great work has been done to improve the material and technical equipment of our theaters, build new theater buildings in the capital and in the regions, and major repairs and restoration, and activities in this area are continuing.

It was noted that from time to time, luminaries have worked at the Musical Theater, and remarkable examples of Azerbaijani and world dramaturgy have been staged. The collective demonstrates interesting stage works that appeal to the aesthetic taste of the audience. The Musical Theater also participates in both domestic and foreign tours with the support of the ministry.

The director of the theater, Honored Artist of Arts Aligismat Lalayev, expressed his gratitude to the minister for the meeting with the team, and spoke about the successes of the theater, as well as some issues that should be noted.

The theater's employees - People's Artists Ilham Namig Kamal, Afag Bashirgizi, Fatma Mahmudova, Honored Artists Azizaga Azizov, Alakbar Aliyev, Akbar Alizadeh, Nadir Khasiyev, Honored Artist of Arts conductor Fakhraddin Atayev, actors Guljahan Salamova, Eleonora Mustafayeva, Gultaj Alili, choir artists Aydan Aliyeva, Gunel Gafarova, theater's production designer Honored Artist Nabat Samedova, theater's chief artist Vusal Rahim and others - made speeches. Members of the team expressed their suggestions and appeals.

The minister said that the Ministry of Culture is also implementing reforms in the theater field as a priority.

Even at the end of the meeting, questions from a number of members of the team were answered.
