At the Academic Musical Theater - "Rauf Hajiyev -100"

Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater celebrated the 100th anniversary of the outstanding composer, People's Artist of the USSR Rauf Hajiyev.

According to the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the operetta "The Caucasian Nephew" (R. Hajiyev) was played in the theater as part of the "Rauf Hajiyev-100" music festival organized by the Ministry of Culture. Before the performance, Turan Mammadaliyeva, an employee of the Ministry of Culture, musicologist, doctor of philosophy in art studies, and Vafa Muhajirova, deputy director of the theater, doctor of philosophy in art studies, spoke about the creativity of the composer.

The producer and director of the play, which was prepared in the Russian section of the theater, is Ali Usubov, who is an honored artist.

The premiere of the play was played on September 24, 2015.

Honored artists: Boris Grafkin, Svetlana Bulakh, Nargiz Karimova; actors: Emil Heydarov, Firus Mammadov, Rauf Babayev, Mehriban Zaliyeva, Alimammad Novruzov, Nijat Ali took part in the performance.

The operetta "Caucasian Nephew" has been staged in the musical theaters of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Riga, Nalchik, and Volgograd.
