We showed support for our army on National Music Day

September 18 - On the National Music Day, the collective of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater showed support for our army. The collective of the theater commemorated our martyrs who lost their lives in the battles for the motherland with a minute of silence. Later, the entire team, accompanied by the symphony orchestra of the theater, played the National Anthem.

Aligismat Lalayev, director of the theater, Honored Art Figure, Doctor of Philosophy, spoke about the importance of this significant day: "September 18 is celebrated as the National Music Day in our country every year by the decree of the national leader Haydar Aliyev dated September 18, 1995. This date is the founder of professional music of Azerbaijan. It is the birthday of Uzeyir Hajibayli. We were supposed to be in Shusha today as part of the XIV Uzeyir International Music Festival, the opening ceremony of the 113th season of our theater was supposed to be held in Shusha. However, as a sign of respect for our sons who were martyred because of Armenian provocation, we changed our plans for the opening of the new season. Our theater is always with our army, we are proud of our soldiers. Our theater is not called "Fighting Theater" for nothing. We are with our state, its Commander-in-Chief and our victorious army at every step."
