The first performance of the Inclusive Theater conquered hearts

The UNESCO-approved international project "Inclusive Theater" of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater has proved its worth.
The performance "In the mood of Travel” presented with the participation of children and young people with hearing and speech disabilities, presented by the inclusive theater studio "Gesture" at the Academic Musical Theater, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The plot line of the play, which consists of five different scenes, based on an interesting and unexpected game. The scene begins with a dreamer finding a suitcase that a famous magician accidentally lost at the station, and all the events take place in this girl's dreams.
Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, family members of the actors of the inclusive theater studio "Gesture", teachers and specialists of the special boarding school, as well as media representatives were invited to the performance.
After the performance, the head of this international project, director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater, Honored Art Worker, Doctor of Philosophy in Art History Aligismat Lalayev took the stage, gave detailed information about the “Inclusive Theater”, and thanked each of the project participants. Lalayev stressed that the main goal of the project is to involve children with hearing and speech impairments, as well as adolescents and young people in art in the country and to help them socialize and integrate into society. As a theater director, stressed that he will always pay attention and care to the members of the Jest inclusive theater.
At the end, to the applause of the audience, the creative staff of the inclusive theater studio "Gesture" and everyone involved in this project were invited to the stage.

Studio members - Mahmud Safarov, KhaligMahammadzade, Yasin Mammadov, Kanan Alakbarov, Afsana Ismayilova, Sunay Mammadli, Timur Agayev, Nigar Nabiyeva and Nisa Nabiyeva were awarded.
At the same time, the partners of this project - sign language interpreter, chairman of the Public Union for Support of Disabled and Athletes Speaking in Sign Language "Silent World" Aida Safarova, members of the volunteer group of the Musical Theater - Aluda Shakarova, Nushafarim Mammadli, Gunay Abasli and Mehriban Karimli, the student of the University of Culture and Arts, was also awarded a diploma.
I want to remind that the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) adopted the “Inclusive Theater Project” of the Academic Musical Theater within the “Participation Program for 2020-2021 on the activities of Member States”.
Leading art masters of the republic worked with studio members, such as - actor, People's Artist Parviz Mammadrzayev; choreographer, Honored Artist Emin Aliyev; master of illusion, laureate of international festivals Tofig Isgandarli.
The whole staff both creative and technical staff of the theater took part in the project with great enthusiasm and responsibility.
