A video conference was held dedicated to the activities of the Academic Musical Theater during the quarantine days
During the special quarantine days, a video conference was held to discuss the organization of the general activities of the staff of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater at home and other issues that need to be addressed.
Speaking at the conference with the participation of department leaders, the director of the theater, Honored Art Figure, Doctor of Philosophy in Art History, Aligismat Lalayev talked about the work done by the theater in recent days in connection with the social isolation measures applied by the state to prevent COVID-19 infection in our country. He spoke about the new projects presented within the "Stay at home, stay healthy" campaign.
He reiterated the demands and recommendations of the Minister of Culture Abulfas Garayev at an online meeting on the activities of theaters in connection, as well as other vital issues with the current situation.
He said the Academic Musical Theater continued its activities by the relevant decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the rules established by the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers. A. Lalayev noted that he was more closely and regularly interested in the problems of theater workers over the age of 65. He also mentioned that these problems were solved. He advised the theater to continue its activities virtually following the requirements of the day, using modern means to organize a high level of online performances of the theater's repertoire on social networks. He also stressed the unique role of the Azerbaijani Television's "Culture" channel in this area and thanked the channel's management. "Although many projects are implemented through our social network accounts, the role of the" Culture "channel in presenting the activities of the theater staff to a wider audience in these difficult days is irreplaceable."
A. Lalayev emphasized that the administrative building of the theater is being disinfected, and the staff working there the permission of the relevant agencies are carefully monitored. "Although the current situation is temporary, it requires projects from the creative staff to meet new and modern standards, prepared in new ways, as well as the need to provide high-quality video footage of performances to the wider public." Suggestions were made for the effective use of the break by the theater staff, the search for creativity, the importance of thinking about new ideas, to better ensure the development of the theater in the future. Today, each member of the team joining the "Stay at Home" campaign participates in the broadcasting of both new and retro performances presented on the social network accounts of the Academic Musical Theater. To enrich the repertoire, the theater's directors continue rehearsals at home with the creative staff of the new performances.
The deputy directors of the theater - Huseyn Huseynov and Doctor of Philosophy in Art History Vafa Muhajirova, who took part in the virtual meeting, reported on the projects implemented since the first days of the quarantine regime and programs for the future activities of the creative staff. Each member of the team is in constant contact with modern technological means, and they are conveyed the requirement to strictly follow the rules of quarantine and the instructions of the management.
It was noted that the theater's cast, choir, ballet troupe, orchestra's activities are regulated through video conferencing, they are given tasks and asked to report on the work done.
The video conference was attended by the head of the theater troupe, Honored Cultural Worker Vidadi Hasanov, chief conductor of the theater Honored Art Worker Fakhraddin Atayev, Honored Artists - chief choirmaster of the theater Vagif Mastanov, choreographers of the ballet troupe - Zakir and Yelena Agayevs. They also informed about the activities of different areas and made proposals.
At the video conference, the importance of the measures taken by President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva in the fight against coronavirus infection in our country was repeatedly emphasized with great gratitude.
