The Musical Theater has started online rehearsals for the play "Bakhtiyar"

The creative staff of the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater, despite all the difficulties caused by the pandemic and other reasons over the past year, is working even harder and tirelessly, on new projects. This time, the creative team of the theater has started online rehearsals for the stage version of the film "Bakhtiyar" based on the structure and script of the famous director, laureate of the "Progress" medal Javid Imamverdiyev, the libretto belongs to the great composer Tofig Guliyev. The actors of the theater in the first rehearsal welcomed t the preparation of the play of the same name based on the film "Bakhtiyar”, which reflects the life and work of the People’s Artist of the USSR Rashid Behbudov with a charming and irreplaceable voice, with interest. General Manager of the Academic Musical Theater, Honored Art Figure, Doctor of Philosophy in Art History Aligismat Lalayev, who took part in the online rehearsal with the creative staff of the new play, spoke about the history of the film "Bakhtiyar" and the necessity of creation of this play. The well-known director wished the actors success and at the same time gave some recommendations. "The movie "Bakhtiyar” that directed by prominent director, Honored Art Worker Latif Safarov in 1955, has been welcomed .with great love and sympathy since its first screening. This screenplay based on the unique music of the great composer Tofig Guliyev is always relevant. It is a great responsibility to stage a film that is accepted and loved by everyone as a successful screenplay, and to give it a new life. This doubles the burden on our shoulders. I believe that Javid will be able to cope with this difficult task. "Even now, I have good ideas about how our actors will play the roles assigned to them," Lalayev said. Speaking at the first rehearsal in video call, director Javid Imamverdiyev emphasized that he started this work with more determination, relying on the experienced and talented actors of the theater, and thanked the theater management for the conditions created. The conductor of the performance is Honored Art Worker Fakhraddin Atayev, the set painter is Elshan Sarkhanoglu, the choirmaster is Honored Artist Vagif Mastanov, the choreographers are Honored Artists Zakir and Yelena Aghayevs, the assistant director is Zaur Aliyev. Young and talented soloists of the theater Shaban Jafarov, Ibrahim Alizade, Emil Zeynalli will play the role of Bakhtiyar, and Aydan Hasanova and Mehriban Zaliyeva will play the role of Sasha.
